Shipping and Returns

OVERVIEW
All prices are in American dollars. All packages will be sent via Canada Post.

 

WHEN WILL MY ORDER SHIP?
All orders of ready-made art will ship within 3-5 business days from the date of payment. Custom orders or commissions will vary and require up to 3 weeks. If you choose tracked shipping, you will receive your tracking code by email. Unfortunately, we CANNOT guarantee any shipping times.

 

UNTRACKED SHIPPING VS. TRACKED SHIPPING

We now offer untracked shipping outside of Canada. If you choose untracked shipping, Mindmelt Studio is absolved of all liability of damage during shipping, or lost or stolen items. IF you choose choose UNTRACKED shipping, if ANYTHING goes wrong with your order AFTER it leaves our studio, we will NOT issue refunds or replace your order. 

The Tracked Shipping option is the safest option for your order. Tracked shipping provides insurance on your order and a tracking number so you can stalk your package online (every few minutes if needed). If it is damaged in transit, lost, or stolen from your porch, we will be able to replace your order or offer a refund.

SHIPPING COST CONSIDERATIONS
All shipping costs are automatically calculated by our shipping partners and Mindmelt Studio reserves the right to re-quote shipping costs if we discover the actual fees vary considerably from those calculated at checkout. You will be notified of any cost changes and have to ability to approve them before your order is shipped.

 

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS - CUSTOMS CHARGES
Any orders shipped outside of CANADA may have import duties, taxes and other local charges. These are the responsibility of the buyer and are not included in your shipping cost. These are calculated by customs as your shipment enters its destination country and are completely beyond our control. Please check with your country’s customs office to determine what these additional costs may be prior to purchasing. 

 

REPORTING DISCREPANCIES OR SHORTAGES
At Mindmelt Studio, we are committed to making sure you are completely satisfied with your purchase. All orders are checked before they are shipped but in the rare event that there are any shortages or discrepancies please report it to us within 48 hours of receipt. We are not responsible for any discrepancies in colours as monitor settings vary.

 

REPORTING DAMAGE
On rare occasions a package can be damaged on its way to you.

The UNTRACKED shipping option does not include insurance and therefore not eligible for return or replacement due to damage caused by the carrier. 

 

If your have chosen the TRACKED shipping option, please take photographs of the condition of the outer packaging, open and inspect your parcel as soon as you receive it. 

In the case of damage, please notify Mindmelt Studio and the carrier immediately so we may initiate a claim on your behalf. We will work with you and the carrier to correct the situation and make sure you receive replacements or a refund for the damaged items. You are responsible for providing proof the item was damaged when received. Canada Post will ask you to answer a questionnaire and send photos of the damaged goods. No replacements or refunds will be offered until the claim clears with Canada Post.

 

RETURNS
We accept returns. You can return unopened items in the original packaging within 30 days of your purchase with receipt or proof of purchase. If 30 days or more have passed since your purchase, we cannot offer you a refund or an exchange.

 

Upon receipt of the returned item, we will fully examine it and notify you via email, within a reasonable period of time, whether you are entitled to a return. Items MUST be returned in the original, unopened packaging. If you are entitled to a return, we will refund your purchase price and a credit will automatically be applied to your original method of payment.

 

Only regular priced items may be refunded. Sale items are non-refundable. To follow-up on the status of your return, please contact us at mindmeltart@gmail.com.

 

EXCHANGES
We only exchange goods if they are defective or damaged. In circumstances where you consider that a product is defective, you should promptly contact us at mindmeltart@gmail.com with details of the product and the defect. You can send the item you consider defective to:

Upon receipt of the returned product, we will fully examine it and notify you via e-mail, within a reasonable period of time, whether you are entitled to a replacement as a result of the defect. If you are eligible, we will send you a replacement product.


EXCEPTIONS
Custom items and Commissions are non-refundable and non-exchangeable.

 

SHIPPING YOUR RETURN
Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. We would recommend that you ship your parcel with a carrier that offers tracking and insurance when returning your order. If your package is lost or damaged during return shipping we will be unable to process your return. To return the item you purchased, please mail it to:

CONDITION OF RETURNED ITEMS
Items returned not in original condition and/or without original packaging or damaged packaging may not be eligible for a refund. We reserve the right to refuse full or partial refunds on items returned altered or damaged in any way.

 

REFUNDS ON SHIPPING CHARGES
Refunds do not include any shipping and handling charges shown on the packaging slip or invoice. Shipping charges for all returns must be prepaid and insured by you. You are responsible for any loss or damage to hardware during shipment. We do not guarantee that we will receive your returned item. Shipping and handling charges are not refundable. Any amounts refunded will not include the cost of shipping.

If your return is due to an error on the part of Mindmelt Studio we will gladly refund you for the shipping costs applied to your order. If the return is for any other reason, the shipping charges will not be included in your refund.
